Lotly is a design-driven architectural
atelier based in the Bay Area, California. We
believe that the best designs come from truly
listening to our clients’ needs, understanding
their expectations, and delivering thoughtful
solutions rooted in over 15 years of
architectural experience. Surrounded by the
beauty of the California landscape, we draw
inspiration to create warm, welcoming, and
timeless spaces that feel like a personal
retreat.
Our founder and principal, Li Yang, is a
licensed architect and graduate of Columbia
University. Before establishing Lotly, she
practiced at the world-renowned firm Skidmore,
Owings & Merrill (SOM), where she contributed
to landmark projects such as the Waldorf
Astoria in New York City, Penn Station in NYC,
and Seattle International Airport. With
experience spanning residential,
transportation, and commercial design, Li
brings a breadth of knowledge and expertise.
Today, she focuses on residential
architecture, working closely with each client
to bring their vision of a dream home to life
with creativity, precision, and care.
At Lotly, we provide comprehensive design services across architecture, interiors, and landscape. Our work ranges from thoughtful remodels to full-scale new construction, always tailored to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Whether it’s reimagining a home for modern living, designing additions or ADUs to accommodate family growth, or creating entirely new residences, we bring a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to every project. Our goal is simple: to help clients build not just houses, but homes—spaces that reflect their lives, aspirations, and sense of belonging.
Every home is unique, and so is every client’s journey. At Lotly, we approach each project with curiosity, sensitivity, and professionalism. We listen deeply, explore possibilities, and guide clients through the design process with clarity and care. We balance creativity with pragmatism—considering not only design aspirations but also budget, timeline, and long-term value. Our process is rooted in partnership: we design with our clients, not just for them. By combining their vision with our expertise, we create spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but also deeply personal—places that clients are proud to call home.
